Dybala Has Arrived! Juventus are COMING after Lazio Victory

Okay, okay, I have now stood up and taken notice. Dybala has shown that he doesn't need a few months or a year to gel with the team. He is ready to get stuck right in, and lead the way for Juventus to retain the scudetto. As for Juventus, I ruled them out and was convinced they would not be the same force as they were last season. But Allegri is making me chomp on those words, and has given this team a whole new lease of life, and now they are to be feared again.

Lazio have really fallen off from last season. It's not like they lost three or four players, it's still the same core but they just don't look as good. Movement of the ball is bad, they are too predictable and their star man who at the center of all their success, Felipe Anderson, just isn't the same kind of player. In this match he just drifted in and out, without really trying to make things happen in the game. It was always the obvious pass, the obvious run and no risk taking on his part.

As for Juventus, they are rolling. These boys are back, and I didn't think I'd be uttering the words this season. From looking totally beaten near the bottom of the table, to now almost looking like their invincible selves from last season. What they lacked wasn't their performances, because it was always there from the very first game. Now, that winning mentality is back. They are figuring out how to win games and doing what is necessary to walk away with three points. Napoli and Inter have to be very afraid because these boys are coming and they want their cake back.

Dybala.

Seeing the kid come onto the scene, I had only heard things about what he did at Palermo. I never really took much notice but I wanted to see what all the hoopla was about. In the first few games for Juventus, he looked pretty good. Nice touch and movement with the ball, but nothing to write home to Grandma about. He just looked like a "pretty good" player, nothing more. As the games progressed and he was scoring key goals, influencing the match in key ways, then I took more notice. He was now becoming the brightest spark of Juve's attack. Whilst you had the target man finishing qualities of Mandzukic and Morata, Dybala had the dribbling and technique. He was the one that could play off of these players, sitting back and connecting the ball from midfield.

But it was this goal that he scored against Lazio that got me sitting up and screaming. The control with his thigh and execution right into the bottom corner, was perfection. From that point on, I had to put him in the conversation with The Truth aka Neymar and Pogba. He's now one of the best young talents in the world. For as long as Allegri can keep him fit and playing this well, just like Insigne with Napoli, he will be a very important reason as to whether or not Juventus will retain their scudetto crown.
