The Overpaid Dude called Rooney Has to RISE to the Occassion for United
He doesn't deserve that cash. HE DOES NOT DESERVE THAT CASH. I will keep on saying this until he gives me a portion of the profits he makes. Simple as. And with every big game that comes, my eye will be a lot more focused on what he does on the pitch. City are on a mission for the golden goose, and Rooney must ensure they do not lose...again.
Can we all please just not get all overexcited and have a fit over that goal? It was a good goal, and smart thinking from Rooney...but it's not something that I will put alongside the GREAT goals in history or even the Premiership.
With no Van Persie in the team and Hernandez not sharp enough BECAUSE SOME DUDE FROM SCOTLAND REFUSES TO PLAY HIM, we have ourselves a real problem. Because now, IT'S ALL ON ROONEY. For the first time, Rooney is the main man. No Cristiano, no Van Persie, it's time for Wayne to bring the pain and for him to try and shine and to see if he is worth maybe HALF of his wage fee.
If you wear that number ten shirt, that means there is a REQUIREMENT for you to show up when your team needs you. Tonight, United may be playing for nothing but they HAVE TO show up against City. Their local enemies and a team trying to win the league, this is the perfect platform for Rooney to show what he is made of.
He's done it before. He has scored important goals against City, and I think he did it when he was wearing that hip new black thing on his head, making him look like some futuristic soldier. Moyes and United will need him to not only lead the line, but get fully involved in the game and be able to react to the ATTACK that City will most undoubtedly bring to the table.
