FINALLY! THE NIGHTMARE IS OVER! MOYES CAN HAVE ZERO COMPLAINTS, AS UNITED SACK HIM
David, oh David Jeremiah. CAN YOU REALLY COMPLAIN? Is there anyone on this planet surprised by this? Did anybody NOT see this coming?! This was inevitable. That Everton loss that OUGHT to have been more, was the final nail. It just got too much and the best decision was made...but I think we can all agree that this should have been done MUCH EARLIER.
I've been asking for his head. Ever since he dropped Kagawa and tried to tell ME, HAVE HOPE, that Cleverley was a better option...I wanted him sacked. Moyes did SO MUCH to help build a case for why he should be fired. The madness of his tactics, his ridiculous team selections and a defense that had no semblance of cohesion are just a few of a long list of deficiencies in his United record.
This was never going to work. The ONLY thing Moyes was clinging onto was just getting to the summer. His hope was to have one summer to build the squad he needed after assessing the players for a full season, THEN being judged after that. But the performances were SO horrendous and the team just played like a bunch of strangers that even Zeus could not give powers for Moyes to turn things around the next season. BAD, BAD, JUST SO DAMN BAD!
The Rooney situation is another that Moyes needs to answer for. He is leaving the club after agreeing to pay Rooney A STUPID AMOUNT OF CHEDDAR A WEEK!
Rooney has put out some truly, genuine crap performances and how or why Moyes found it right to make him one of the highest paid players in the world, is another indictment on the Moyes tenure. Where the HELL was this "star" player when Everton were running rings around the whole United team?
I don't know what the future holds for Moyes. Let me be clear, he is a GOOD coach, but just not good enough for a high-profile job. He will make many teams better, but this was not the right appointment. NO WAY, NO HOW. Nobody in the world or Venus could have foreseen how low he took United, but this could have been alleviated if the axe was thrown down quicker and earlier. For too many games, it was evident that the players had bad body-language and did not feel comfortable with the tactics that Moyes was employing. THAT is when you need to act and bring in something fresh to try and save your season.
And what about the great man who BUILT this dynasty and was the one who CHOSE Moyes?
A lot of people will and already have drawn their ire towards Ferguson, for picking a man who has produced THE funniest memes in the history of our race. But, one needs to look at the conspiracy theory that is connected with all of this...
Ferguson did not want some dude to quickly usurp his legacy. What if Mourinho or Hiddink came in and won the Champions League in the first season? Or actually improved upon United's playing style and made them more attacking and fluid?
Ferguson has too much pride and would not allow that. I honestly don't think he could have predicted Moyes being THIS inept. He would have thought they would at LEAST be fighting for the title but only just fall short, whilst maybe making an FA Cup semi or final.
SEVENTH.
that is all,
