So they all thought it was a crisis, that Bayern were going to crumble after being embarrassed by Dortmund in their cribb. But I told you not to read too much into it. Well, Bayern returned and came back with a BANG!
Thankfully, Dortmund did their bit and what we have is what we hope will be a memorable final against two excellent teams. But the real question is even despite this resounding victory....are Bayern mentally READY?
There have been whispers and talks of those in Germany not being happy with the bald Spaniard's methods and the two losses in a row. And the big boss Beckenbauer, like myself, does NOT like the passing system that he sees as too boring. Pep has said that he would be happy to leave, but don't read too much into it. It's all talk. But it really makes one think whether Bayern are facing their first true test of adversity this season. Will the real Bayern turn up against Madrid next week? Or the lethargic one?
Madrid are rolling now and a lot of cats are buying into their hype. The Bale hype is real...not the team's. Bayern and Pep are a very lethal combination and I can't bet against a team that good, focused and talented. But the mentality is an important thing. Madrid are not Kaiserslautern, and Bayern will have to bring about their A game to dispose of Madrid.
