REAL MADRID SLAUGHTERED BAYERN IN A ONE-SIDED DESTRUCTION TO REACH CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FINAL
Wow. I did NOT see this coming AT ALL. Unbelievable. Bayern, a team that were so indestructible and looked so invincible....a team that I thought would rarely even lose a game....GOT OWNED, BEAT-UP, WHIPPED, SMACKED AND LUBRICATED by....Sergio Ramos. That is what will keep Bayern up at night. They allowed Ramos to score TWO goals against them. They only have themselves to blame as this was just a continuation of the first leg....except Madrid actually ended up scoring their chances.
It's quite scary just how bad Bayern were. Normally, when you don't play too well in the first leg, you expect a team to lick their wounds and be BETTER in the second leg. But they just fucking got ran off the pitch.
Surely, Pep would have known that Madrid had the lead so what they would do is COUNTER with two of the fastest footballers in the world. Then why would Pep play right into their hands and allow them so much space? Why not play Martinez in the hole to stop Madrid from countering? But Pep stuck by his guns, and Modric RAN the game being the main man who supplied Di Maria, Bale and Cristiano on counters that Bayern never looked comfortable with dealing with. In short...they got LASERED!
You can't just say that Bayern lost BOTH these matches because of how badly they played...and they played like SHIT. Robben and of course, Bart Simpson were the only bright sparks for the team. Even Neuer was finding it hard to cope with the counters by rushing his kicks away.
One must give credit to Ancelotti who exposed the weakness in the Pep philosophy. He exploited the space, used the speed of his players and entrusted his Croatian jewel to know which balls to play and when to play them. EVERY MAN knew their position, stretching out as wide as possible and pretty much being deadly with the execution of the passes. It was too much for Dante and Boateng to cope with, without help from Martinez. It was just scandalous how EASY Madrid found it and this SHOULD have been a lot more, whilst I am really not sure how many good chances Bayern even had.
People should not be so hasty by proclaiming Madrid as champions. It would be understandable because they beat the holders SO easily. But it's all about matchups. If this team was coached by Heynckes, there is NO WAY Madrid find it this easy and I would put cash-money on them winning. Either Chelsea or Atletico will be TOUGHER than Madrid had it with Bayern. So whichever team wins tonight, the Final will be a whole different ball game for Madrid. But, they are finally back in the Final and they are SO close to getting their hands on that trophy...
