Unfairly Targeted Bale NEEDS to make a Big Decision Soon...

You must either be a crackhead or a numbskull to solely blame Gareth Bale for Madrid's exit at the hands of Juventus. He did not have his best game, but there is still a thousand man search out for Cristiano. After all, isn't the superstar and best in the world?

Bale is a very talented footballer. You cannot deny that. A player who did what he did for Spurs and for Madrid in his DEBUT season ain't small pie. It's just that the surroundings he finds himself in at Madrid currently are not beneficial to him. Whereas last season was the dream honeymoon, this is now the harsh reality, which is the case quite often after a great first season. So perhaps next year things will get better, but Gareth needs to realise that Real Madrid are not a regular club. The way they do business is very odd and not like how you would expect a footballing union to operate. After just ONE bad season, already there are calls for Bale to be sold.

Let me just add something which just came into mind. If for some reason, Bale was the designated penalty-taker, and he scored that pen last night, but played like he did, exactly the same...would there still be calls for his head? Because if you score a penalty but become anonymous after your enemy has just equalised....surely that can't be good?

I digress....

A decision has to be made. Bale can either carry on with Madrid and duke it out, and fight for the fans adulation OR, take his talents elsewhere. Now, if he stays, Bale could either get great again and rekindle the fire he had in his first season or he could end up like Kaka. On the bench because a new star has taken his place and no other club interested in signing you....because you don't play.

The second option is what Bale must strongly consider. Because I think you get the best out of him when the team is built around him and he is not restricted to a defined position. If he does not have to defer and has the freedom to carry a team like he did with Spurs, then that would be his strength. Staying at Madrid and as long as Cristiano is there, he will never be the main man, and in his head he feels Cristiano is better and so lacks that killer selfish edge which he had to superb effect for Tottenham.

I don't know what will happen. The vitriol is intense but time is a great healer. Fans may calm down, accept this was a failed season and rebuild for next year by finding a replacement Modric when he gets injured and maybe....just MAYBE, getting a striker who actually plays like one?! Oh, they have Chicharito....but nah, he's not as good as the formidable Mercedes Benz.

Gareth Jeremiah.....the choice, as Morpheus would say, I leave up to you.
