NO . Can we please stop with this sheep mentality? Whatever happened to actually doing your research first before foolishly jumping to conclusions? Moreno was NOT the direct cause of Shaw's injury. Moreno did NOT intend on injuring Shaw. Moreno should NOT be vilified the way he has been done on social media. I think it is my duty as the Footballing Phenom to put the record straight.
I've seen defender who have been the sole cause of an injury. These are defenders who are thugs and don't deserve to be on a football pitch. A perfect example would be Shawcross, whose malice in his tackle was the cause of Ramsey's injury. It was then right to abuse him, and from then on, he actually changed his game as he admitted to his wrongdoing. Same with Keane on Alfe-Inge Haaland. That was Keane's fault and he actually INTENDED on causing damage to him based on the arguments they had on the pitch prior to the incident.
With Moreno, it was a case, as others have said, of him just being part of a chain of events that resulted in the unfortunate case of Shaw's injury. It was the speed Shaw was running from, the tackle Moreno made, and the angle in which Shaw's leg fell that all contributed to that break happening. If people actually LOOKED at the footage and Moreno going in for the tackle, it was a GOOD tackle. Shaw was through on goal and Moreno produced a last-ditch attempt to prevent a goal. It was just his connection to Shaw's leg that produced the injury. There was no malice or intent from Moreno to harm Shaw.
I would like people to stop being sheep and wolves. I know that is a lot to ask, but try. Don't be part of the herd mentality. Take a deep breath and try and study the incident and make an informed assessment. I wish Shaw recovers and his injury, although bad, is not the worst. Djibril Cisse's WAS worse, and he was back playing football after nine months. As for Moreno, he ought to feel no guilt. Obviously, being human, he will feel bad. That's why he and Cocu went to visit Shaw in hospital. ANd of course, he will get booed when he returns to Old Trafford, but let the truth be freed. Moreno should NOT be blamed for causing Shaw's injury.
