Champions League Last 16 Draw: Cristina and Madrid will ROAST Roma
Roma need to call this match off. There's no point in this taking place. The way in which Roma have been playing, they are a team who are keen to see how many G's they can concede. Their "performance" against Barcelona was literally like watching a training ground regime. With Roma playing the part of seven year old kids running around like clueless chumps.
Real Madrid are the wrong team for them to face and of course...Cristina, the goal-machine.
If this was a proper team that knew how to defend, then I would not even mention Cristiano's name. He's been known to struggle against defenders that know how to tackle, can position themselves well and understand the concept of marking. These are basics that Garcia does not teach his players. He just sends them out and hopes that they figure out how to stop the opponent from scoring.
News flash, that strategy hasn't worked but Garcia is still persisting so maybe in the next millenium we'll know how it all turned out.
Madrid right now are going through a sticky period. It's not all roses and violets for Benitez, who had a great start to his tenure.
They are losing games, they're not entertaining their fans and calls for his sack have already begun. And they got kicked out of the Copa Del Rey for fielding an ineligible player.
Nice.
But mathematically they are still in the title race and football has shown us that events change. One time you're the king of the mountain and another you're that peasant living in the ditch. Tis the highs and lows of this crazy thing called football.
Despite that, you have to look at the facts my friends. Roma under Garcia are a living and breathing comedy act. Let's not even talk about what they try to pass as defending but instead focus on their attack, which we all assume is their strength.
These guys will pass and pass and pass and pass. That tactic worked about three years ago, but once teams figured them out you would assume the manager would change things. After all, that is logic. Once your opponent knows exactly what you're going to do, you throw them a curve ball to get them guessing again. But no, this logical thinking does not fall on Garcia who will continue to persist with his way.
I expect Cristina to collect five goals in each leg. Anything less would be a failure to me. This is his kind of team. They'll give him space, they won't know how to mark the man or the danger area, and he'll have opportunities to make dangerous runs or fire off as many shots as he wants. This should be a landslide and it will make the eyebrow-shaving Portuguese underwear model happy as it will add to his goal tally, which you must understand is hugely important to his museum.
