Do United Really Think They Will Get Neymar? On the Real?
They don't want No for an answer.
So prowling around looking for the latest news, and with the January transfer window coming up, I stumbled upon a story that Man United want to launch a £100 million plus transfer deal for the boy Neymar. They tried before in the summer, and now Woodward and Van Gaal want to pry thier prime target from Barcelona.
Let me start by saying Man United want a big signing this month. Whether they get that is another discussion. But you can bet every penny you have in your life savings that they are aiming to get a top player. For some reason, these guys have broken into Fort Knox without anyone noticing and have extremely deep pockets. You saw how they were going for every player on the planet in the summer, and now, you can bet your ass that they will try and pry every superstar away from their current employers.
Even if they throw all the money in the world at Neymar, I don't see how he will leave. He looks happy at Barcelona, is enjoying his football, is good buddies with Messi and he's finally being appreciated in the team. He's no longer the Robin to Messi's Batman, and has shown that he can lead the team in his absence. So why stop this gravy train now to head over to Manchester with the legend himself...ahem...Wayne Jeremiah Rooney?
Let United bid, they might as well. They put in about 120 million for Muller or maybe even more, so why stop there? I say they should announce in public that they are offering 200 million for the services of Neymar. Personally, I don't have the maturity or the balls to reject that amount of money, so I would sell anything that I own to get my paws on that kind of cash.
Neymar at United, if we are just to play along, would be life-changing for the Premiership. If they were to get him, he would rip the league to pieces, forming a devastating partnership with Martial. Then, you can truly say that not only can United make the top four, but they have a really good chance of winning the title.
