Transfer Ban Ought to Hit Atletico Harder than Real
Surely, the Madrid clubs can't be the only ones guilt of unscrupilous transfer activity with the youth of our world. I suppose, they just got caught. So they must face the consquences and fans are freaking out over the ban, and thus this dooming both clubs because they so desperately need reinforcements.
Relax and chill. Neither team is desperate for new players. This isn't Manchester United or Elche, who actually need some quality up in there. Where Atletico are concerned, they have a very good team and that is proven by how high up in the league table they are. All that is needed for the icing on that cake is a striker. Martinez isn't cutting it and Blondie aka Torres has become irrelevant.
If Atletico actually had a reliable striker who could play in the box, like someone in the same vein as Mario Gomez, they would be very dangerous both in Spain and Europe. Teams like Simeone who are so well structured, work hard and play good football with great tactical discipline, are incredibly tough to beat if they have a great striker as well. It's the old way of making a winning team.
Why the hell do Real Madrid need players?
Zidane has more than enough talent in that team to win both the league and Champions League. They have a defense, while not great, is good enough. A very good midfield, one of the best strikers in the world and goalscorers from different areas of the pitch. There is no need to bring in reinforcements, and in fact, this can be a blessing in disguise. Zidane can use this opportunity to build a cohesive unit, and a group of players who can form a strong bond and chemistry. You can't do that when new players keep coming in, and mess up the relationship of the team.
So let the whining stop, and instead, both Madrid teams should focus on working with what they have which is good enough. The only problem will arise when injures start to mount up, and that's where no investing in a youth academy will bite them in the ass.
