Manu Garba on the Cusp of Glory with his Eaglets

They have swept away all teams in their path. They have been THE outstanding team in the competition. Anything short of a victory would be a shock for these Eaglets. Yes, they have thrown accusations of the players being over-age but an official test is an official test..so what can one do?
But all eyes are now on the final and the Eaglets can make it FOUR and be the most successful team at this level to lift the greatest sporting trophy.

Forget the skill and technique that these Eaglets have shown...let's just look at the brilliant job that Garba has done. That is what has stood out for me above anything else. The level of discipline and organization is outstanding. He has given them a great shape and a level of understanding in the way that they defend, keep the ball and attack. It is something that should hopefully bode well for the future. But before we jump the gun, there is still that one final hurdle. Mexico will NOT be the same team that got beat 6-1. A final is ANYONE'S game as Greece proved in 2004. So of course, this will be Nigeria's hardest game and the tightest match. So it is down to Garba to really extract the best out of his boys, and produce a stellar FINAL display to get the job done.

All eyes will be on the star man of the tournament. All true stars save their best for the final. And so,  Garba will look to Kelechi to again provide that critical pass to Awoniyi, or to create a piece of special magic himself.

Arsenal are watching you dear Iheanacho, and the stage is set for you to produce your best display of the whole tournament. But it's to the coach to really speak with him, and tell him to mentally prepare himself for a tough test and be even more careful when picking moments to dribble and when to make that pass. This is a Final, and ALL Finals are the toughest and tightest matches. So all those moves that seemed so easy before, will become even harder to execute.

Mexico will not back down, and they say revenge is the sweetest dish. Mexico will have something to prove and will be happy losing 6-1, but beating the same team by whatever scoreline in the final. Garba and the Eaglets have to show that they are the finished article and come back with nothing short of the gold medal.
