Sabella Must still have a place for Tevez
With Sabella trying to figure out an Argentina that can function without Messi, perhaps it's time for a certain man to get a call-up. He has been away for a while, but it seems that people are now remembering his name and his image in the famous blue and white jersey.
Higuain is a decent striker, and Aguero is easily number two to Messi. But Tevez STILL has it. Looking at his performances for Juventus, he can still offer something for Argentina, and may be a key figure for 2014.
Tevez is a bulldog and a man that can rise for the occasion. Remember 2010? A certain best player in the world, did not score a single goal. Whereas, another player scored a fantastic goal against Mexico in the round of sixteen. That player was Tevez who knows what it means to wear the shirt, and who I feel has more character and guts than Messi. Lionel may have the greater talent, but when it comes down to it, to a tough fight to get it done...I just know that Carlos will make it happen. He has so much fight in him, and there is a street vibe that he has, which is what I want in my team.
Squads ALWAYS win World Cups. It's those players that can come in and ADD to a team to carry them over the line. I just cannot accept that Sabella is happy with Aguero and Higuain and won't take Tevez. THAT will be a hugely costly mistake, because Argentina have THE most lethal strikeforce in the world. So it is Sabella's duty to utilize EVERY SINGLE ATTACKING WEAPON that he has. Sure, you can have a great defence but the name is scoring goals. You only need to look as far back as 2002 and see what Brazil did. Their attackers rose up and covered the holes of their ordinary defence. That may just be the very thing that make them an unstoppable force at the World Cup and give them their third crown.
