As the VERY Italian Looking Mazzarri takes Inter to Naples against Napoli, one Wonders If He Should Have Left

A big match is happening later tonight, and it pits a once top team against another that is doing better than many thought would. Mazzarri, who looks INCREDIBLY Italian like from a movie, will be going up against his old club. It was where he brought the world to the brilliance of Cavani and Lavezzi and how they worked well with Hamsik. Perhaps, Mr. Mazzarri might be thinking if he could remained and continued his great work with them.

Benitez is a good coach, that there is no doubt. But with him not recognizing the talents of Insigne and the team being a far more methodical in their approach rather than exciting, it makes one wish what could have been under their previous manager.
Napoli are doing very well, considering the huge sale of Cavani who was their all-out star man. Benitez is really using all his resources to make Napoli competitive and along with a great teamwork, he has gotten the best out of Higuain who is now beginning to show me that he can actually put the ball in the damn net rather than miss a BILLION chances. Yes, it's all well and good but I do think Mazzarri would have done a better job in a post-Cavani era...and he WOULD have built the team around Insigne.

I can't really blame Mazzarri for taking on the Inter project. It was a new challenge, to try and gather up this once tall giant that conquered all in 2010. He has new, young and exciting players to pick from and heading into new territory is exciting. I am just talking in hypothetical sense of if he remained at Napoli, and continued the great work he had there. He had them playing much better football than they do under Benitez and I would have loved to see how he would have fit Insigne into his team and the other kinds of players he would have gone for. It's just something to think about, but that's in the past now. I doubt Benitez can take Napoli all the way to a scudetto or even win a trophy with the squad he has....but who would have thought that about Liverpool when they took home the big cheese? This match should be event tastier with Benitez facing the one club that was a complete and total disaster for him. He may not want to say it's about revenge...BUT IT IS. He wants to BEAT them and show them they were wrong to sack him and not trust him...even though they were right t give him the boot. As  for Mazzarri, Napoli is a club that never leaves your soul. Cavani will know that and Maradona knows that. Whatever he does or achieves with Inter, he will always have a very, very special place for the people of Naples.
