Clubs are looking at Cerci, but he MUST stay at Torino for the Season
It was Cerci that inspired Torino to clip Roma's wings that were flying very high in their unbeaten run. His impressive individual displays has RIGHTFULLY earned him a spot in the Italy squad with a real chance of making that final cut next year. It's no surprise that the big players want a piece of this pie, and it will be tempting....but for this season in particular, Cerci MUST remain at Torino.
Getting into any Italy squad is tough, ESPECIALLY when you don't play for Juventus, the Milan teams or Roma. For Cerci to have earned a call playing for Torino, is a monumental achievement. It shows that despite the lack of great quality around him, he is still able to be influential and shine.
I was at the game against Nigeria, and when he came on in the second half, he easily impressed. His touch on the ball, and his skill on the wing to beat a man and find a cross was great. Without a doubt, he is firmly in Prandelli's plans and will be a VERY useful player to bring on during one of the many tough matches and situations Italy will find themselves in next year.
Of course there may be pros in moving to Arsenal, or Barcelona or any of the other teams. There will be better players around him and it would allow himself to really shine even more with better support. There's always that danger. What if he goes and for some reason, he doesn't fit into the team and just does not look like the same player at Torino? That's why for this season in question, with this being the World Cup year, Cerci must remain at Torino and do what he can to keep them in the league. The team won't win anything and will not even flirt with the top four. They are good, but are not deep enough to compete with Juventus, Roma or Milan.....INTER not AC! He must stay at where he knows best, keep on playing well then I am more than positive he will have his place at the World Cup...and he may even play an important role in a knockout match or a semi-final....IF Italy make it so far.
