Dortmund CANNOT Lose Gundogan And Must FORCE Him to Sign If Need Be

Apparently, there are about 18 months left on Gundogan's contract and the Dortmund chiefs need an answer from Ilkay as to whether he wants to stay or leave. Dortmund, MUST DO ALL THAT IS IN THEIR POWER AND SOUL TO KEEP THIS MAN. No buts or ifs or maybes about it.

I did not know much about this man. Last season, it was all about the trio of Lewandowski, Reus and Goetze. It was only when Goetze was injured for that Champions League Final that I saw YET another young German talent. Gundogan took up the creative role that Goetze vacated and had a great game in that final. He took hold of the situation and was the orchestrator in midfield and the engine that really got Dortmund going.
Again, in the Super Cup against their adversary, Bayern, Gundogan put up a man-of-the-match performance to put the Bavarians to the sword. I was convinced this was a very good footballer that Dortmund could not afford to lose.
Since his injury, neither Reus or Mkhitaryan have been able to do what Gundogan is capable of doing. They don't have his maturity on the ball, ability to pick out the right pass and also the accuracy of a shot to get that G. Dortmund have easily missed Gundogan the most amongst all those that have been injured.

Dortmund cannot keep losing players. They must bring out the cash or even hire hitmen and threaten their talent to stay. A team that tries to achieve the big things MUST KEEP THEIR BEST PLAYERS. With Gundogan in the team, I am more than happy to say that Dortmund can most definitely win the Champions League....but they MOST DEFINITIVELY NEED HUMMELS AND SUBOTIC AS WELL.
