Leverkusen Looking to Nab De Bruyne from Chelsea in January
Sometimes, a move to a weaker club may be the best thing to happen to a player's career. For a season that is SO important as it concludes with the greatest tournament in the world in Brazil, it is imperative players actually...you know...PLAY! Lukaku realized that, went to a "smaller" club in Everton and are helping them to keep right up with Chelsea. De Bruyne is now faced with that decision, and it seems Leverkusen have offered him a route back to playing some football!
De Bruyne has been a very important player for Belgium's all conquering foetuses. Wilmots will most definitely have him in the starting lineup, but he and Kevin will know that playing regularly helps you GREATLY when the World Cup comes around. That is why that De Bruyne NEEDS to leave Chelsea. Once Mourinho has decided he does not want you, he DOES NOT change his mind. He makes very clear what he wants from his players so they fit into his system, and for some reason, De Bruyne is "surplus to requirements" at the Bridge.
I for one can't understand, with Chelsea struggling to beat STOKE, how De Bruyne has not been given more games or brought on as a sub to try and win the matches that Chelsea have ended up losing. Hmmm.....
Voller has already come out and expressed interest in signing him, and I think he would help them greatly as they at least ATTEMPT to stop the Bayern train in the league, and maybe can go all the way in the German cup.
De Bruyne just has to accept Chelsea may not work out and take a step back, but it may be an important step forward that could lead to him being a star at the World Cup and actually moving to a big club that VALUES his quality.
