NEVER EVER BET AGAINST MOURINHO, AS LIVERPOOL LEARNED IN THEIR 2-0 LOSS TO CHELSEA

I did not see this coming. When it was decided Chelsea would go with a weakened team, I did not see them going to Anfield where Liverpool have SACRIFICED teams, and actually go and WIN. I can't truly believe what Mourinho continues to achieve with a team that is not really his own yet. A team WITHOUT a proven striker, and with young players who still need some time to grow. But Liverpool and Rodgers just came undone by a SUPERB defensive display.

It was pretty obvious what Chelsea were going to do from the moment that whistle was blown. There was NO way Chelsea were going to make the same mistakes Arsenal and City made. Mourinho is far too much of a tactician for that.

IT WAS ALL ABOUT ALL-IN DEFENCE, EVERY MAN PUTTING THEIR HEART, GUTS AND BALLS ON THE LINE!!!!!

So it was down to Liverpool to break them down as Chelsea allowed them to have the ball and bring it all the way up to their fort. Liverpool had the time to either pick out the right pass, or have a dude brave and skilled enough to get past defenders and slot the ball in. IT WAS A GAME MADE FOR MOSES TO SHOW HIS GREAT DRIBBLING TALENTS...because as we have established, Chelsea ALLOWED Liverpool time on the ball to think about what they could do. But when Chelsea broke, THEY BROKE INTELLIGENTLY and actually had some very good chances. So this idea that Chelsea just sat back whilst doing nothing, is merely just a myth. They defended well and attacked METHODICALLY, using the few players they had up in the attack to great effect.

I am one of the very few it seems that think Liverpool WILL still win this title. They should win their final two games, and I just think City may slip up in one of those two home games and THAT Everton game can go in either direction.

But the SLIP from Gerrard is just one of those things. Once you are operating in big matches like this, any MAJOR error most likely will end up in getting punished. Gerrard found that out that very hard way as Ba pounced and calmly put it away. But there was a WHOLE half for Liverpool to get back in the game. The only thing Rodgers could honestly have done differently is bring on Moses whose slower game would be perfect for trying to break Chelsea (his parent club) down. But I just even am thinking now, perhaps there was a clause that said Moses could not play against his parent club? If he COULD, he would have been more effective than Sterling was.

This has been the greatest Premiership or first division season in history. Not only at the top but at the bottom as well. For so long it has mainly been two teams fighting for the title, and one team winning it most of the time. But with TWO games left to go, there are THREE teams that can feasibly still win the league title. Mourinho has used his mind-games to say Chelsea are out of it, whilst City somehow have it in their hands but can easily slip away from them if they either draw or lose to Everton.

I thought Chelsea would win it from the start, and I will still stick with that, but as I see it right now, after that Sunderland loss....I just think that it is Liverpool's time now. It just wouldn't be as much fun if Liverpool won today, beat Crystal Palace and effectively won the league. That would be too easy. Thus, we now have what will be quite an incredible end with more AMAZING twists and DRAMA yet to unfold.
