Cristiano is a Goal Machine. But can he score when it matters?

Another game, another record. I think this guy is on his billionth hat-trick. So you might ask why HH can't finally just bow down and pay homage to a goalscoring phenomenon. Why Have Hope, why?!!!!

Elche.

It sounds like a new drug. Never knew it was a place or establishment. APPARENTLY they have a football team. That's what I'm told.

Elche will NEVER win the Champions League or even La Liga. Real are meant to lubricate these kinds of teams. They are your usual three points. So why the hell should I credit such a great goalscorer for scoring three (one a penalty) against them?

Semi-final. Final. Team losing. Team playing badly. These are situations that separate very good players from greats and special players. Ronaldo was a man who would rise to the occasion and score when it mattered. There is a skill in scoring in a world cup final. A winning goal. Scoring when your team is bricking it.

Truth is, you need both a Ronaldo and Cristiano on your team. Cristiano to amass all those points, and Ronaldo for the big matches and the tougher ones.

Hope this clears things up. My criteria for greatness is VERY stingy. Only the very few get into my echelon. The VERY few.
