What the HELL is wrong with Man City and Pellegrini?

So it seems that City have just decided that 2015 is not really a good year to win a Premier League
title. Perhaps they prefer even numbers or something...or 2015 is bad luck? Because, City are pretty much just saying to Chelsea : "Take the damn title from us, we don't want it anymore!"

Because my goodness.....BURNLEY?!

The thought was that City have been known to come back and win titles. They know how to chase, and have been able to cut down leads before. But this season, there has been something really missing from City. Not just this Burnley game, but there seems to be that attacking spark that they had before that they just don't have. Sometimes they can show it and knock five past a team, and others times it's like you can see their punch come from a million miles away. Predictable, Void of ideas, and a team not able to beat a relegation-threatened team just spells all kinds of trouble.

You have to put your eyes on Yaya Touré. Yes, David Silva is very underrated, and Aguero when he is on it, is one of the best strikers in the world. But everyteam has that core. It's what defines them and what wins them titles. Bayern's core is Bart Simspon. Real's last season was Ramos and Modric, and Chelsea's whether you like it or not, is actually and strangely...Mourinho.

When City have won the two league titles, the main reasons for it was how well Yaya was playing and how he influenced the game. Without him now, City lack that leader and that dude that they can turn to for driving them forward and getting them through pretty iffy away games like this Burnley one. And Pellegrini has shown that he just lack tactical diversity. Something that Pep and Mourinho both have. A willingness to change things around to get a result that's needed.

Chelsea drew against Southampton, and I can bet that Chelsea will have a few more emotional rides with the media before the end. But I still see City slipping up again, and Arsenal may actually end up getting ahead of them. I think they know now that the league is lost and Pellegrini does not have the same motivational power that Conte or Mourinho has to rile up his players and build a team spirit for them to  keep on going.

I've always defended Kompany. But empires rise and they fall, and right now Kompany's kingdom is
in the ditches. It was a bad clearance that gave Burnley that win, and he just hasn't been at his best to stop the goals leaking in. As the captain and central defender, to be allowing so many goals at HOME and not being able to hold onto leads means that he must be held responsible and culpable. When you have your captain and defender not playing well....it's not good. That is where a very strong manager can make the bold decision and bench him for a day or two, because the club and team is ALWAYS bigger than any one player.
