Don't expect Klopp to be an INSTANT Savior for Liverpool....Relax, take a deep Breath

I've seen this too many times before.

Huge excitement greets the (potential) arrival or a player or manager. When said person does come, there is already celebration that the savior has cometh to lead the flock to the Promised Land. Then a meek voice raises their hand to urge the huge crowd to further look at the savior's resume, and to proceed with caution and not to get hopes up....that lone dissenter gets tossed in the pit of ghouls for speaking out.

A bit dramatic...yes....a lite; FAR FROM IT.

Klopp is a really good coach, but an even better persona. He's like the dude who would be great to have a drink with and get drunk all night. I can see where the attraction comes from because he's someone I'd love to play for. His expressions, fist-pumps and footballing philosophy would attract any footballer with true blood running through their veins. But is the German really the one to take Liverpool back into the top four?

I want to take over the role of the meek dissenter. I'd like Liverpool fans to look at Klopp's complete tenure overspent on a player. All from either great scouting or the academy. That's something that would jump out on any CV with chairmen and owners already looking to purchase a fine pen for Klopp to sign on the dotted line. But if they would so kind as to be a bit patient, and scroll down the CV...it would also show Dortmund were in the relegation zone for a good portion of last season.
at Dortmund. You can't just pick and choose, focusing on the yin and ignoring the yang. Klopp achieved something truly incredible with his Dortmund bunch with those two league titles. This was earned without a fifty million sum

That's not being reported. All I hear is how he is the perfect man for the job, and is the one to change Liverpool's fortunes around. Nobody mentions that his tactics were deeply flawed when he didn't have the right players, and he did not have the managerial experience or knowledge to change it up to be of benefit to the group that he was left with after Bayern had pillaged his home. Surely that's enough to at least curb the extreme enthusiasm that is permeating across the Liverpool fanbase. There is a chance that Klopp could come to Liverpool, and the players he has or even buys don't mesh well with his gung-ho and high energy way of playing. Oh, and did I mention the Klopp package comes with a high defensive line as well at no extra cost?

Those at Merseyside and the Kop (or is it Cop?), relax, take two deep breaths and hum a yoga poem or something. You should be cautiously optimistic if Klopp does come to Liverpool. But there are similarities between him and Brendan. Both have an attacking philosophy and both will doggedly stick by it, without much of a defensive or more balanced plan B to go with it. I support the sacking of Rodgers, not the way it was done, but I support it. Just don't think Klopp is a thousand worlds removed from Brendan...that would be a folly move.
