Inter Milan Not Playing Great..BUT THEY WIN and that's ALL that MATTERS

Another ordinary performance, especially in attack, from Inter Milan, but yet another win. It's a trend that is now building with this Inter team, and for anyone concerned, this is what leads to Championships. And with their win over Roma with yet another one goal victory, Mancini's boys are now ONE of the firm favorites for what may be one of the most open Scudetto championships in years.

Icardi, their captain and most dangerous attacker was on the bench, and Roma had one of their strongest teams. So, even though Inter were at home, I was assuming that the great underachievers would be able to walk away with the victory against an Inter group that are not experienced in doing well in a league. But I guess Mancini has taken the mantra of starting from the back.

Inter Milan may not entertain a plank of wood when they attack, but defensively, they are one of the toughest teams in the Serie A. Apart from the beatdown from Fiorentina, they have either kept a clean sheet or only conceded a single goal. They are physical, well-organised and they know how to defend. So once you have a team that hardly concede any goals, all you now need to do is just take that one chance. For that, you don't necessarily need to have six or seven shots on target or slaughter your opponent with constant through-balls. It's all about getting that goal however you can.

Medel was the one who came through, and he's definitely been one of the most underrated footballers in the world out there. He is a fighter, a pitbull and always gives two hundred percent in every match. Now, just giving effort is not enough to get on my team, but Medel is a very talented footballer and his excellent goal showed just how gifted he is. A superb strike that would beat most goalkeepers. And that goal with Inter's victory sums up their season so far. They just know how to win games. They're that team that you don't want to concede first against. Beating this Inter comes down to scoring first and forcing them to attack, which they are not comfortable doing. Because when Inter go ahead, they just know how to build that great wall of Milan and will see out the match.

Napoli are in the mix, Fiorentina are top and AC Milan are making a slow push. There are teams all around and the gap is so close. But I'm looking at the long run and the much bigger picture. Inter Milan just have the strategy, players and mentality of going on winning streak. And that's what Roma and Garcia need to get through their thick skulls. Playing pretty football and passing it around like being on a playground, does not translate into wins. Mancini has honed this crew into trying to go for this title while Juventus struggle. They can already smell glory, and they are rapidly gaining a habit of winning and once you get addicted to that, then it's very hard to remove that feeling.
