Pogba Professes Love to Juventus, AND SO HE SHOULD
Things are not ideal at Juventus. With the players that left and those that now remain, it's no surprise that Juventus have been struggling to get wins, although did not think that they would be doing this badly. The consensus and the hope of clubs like Barcelona, Chelsea and City would be for Pogba to also want out because of how the team have been struggling. But thankfully, he has been wise, unlike most players of his age, and professed his love for the club and desire to stay.
This is a huge move for Juventus. After losing the crux of their team, it's imperative that they keep Pogba. He's been given the number ten shirt, and Allegri wants this team to be built around him, as he sees him as the cornerstone and future of the club. And it's great that Pogba has answered that by saying he loves the club, and wants to stay. You never want to keep silent when newspapers write rumors and come up with theories to unsettle. By coming out and proclaiming his love for Juventus and intention to stay, that is a very smart move.
When you are a young player who is trying to reach their potential; there are two kinds of situations you have
to be in. The first is playing around experienced legendary players who you can watch and learn from and thus improve your game. You can improve both by playing on the pitch alongside them or even in training as they can offer you advice on the right and wrong choices to make in his very important position as a central midfielder. If that is not possible, then being in a team where you are guaranteed to be in that first team and that also suits your style of football would be ideal. Pogba fits into the latter category. He may not have Vidal and Pirlo around him, but he is still one of the first names on the teamsheet, and he understands the dynamics of the team and those around him. Heading to Real Madrid or Chelsea, both of these factors would not be guaranteed and thus would hamper his development.
Where Juventus are concerned, Allegri still needs to dip into that transfer market and look at other midfielders and even strikers, as that is where I think they need to bolster up. I am not feeling Zaza or Mandzukic who are really not replacements for Carlito. Then there is the fitness issue of Khedira, because as good as he is, he just can't be relied upon to last a season being injury-free. But one of the key things is for Pogba to be kept. Losing him would be catastrophic for Juventus, as then it would be a clear sign that the club is going down the drain. By keeping him, it shows that Juventus still have a future because no matter what anyone says, Pogba is one of the best players in the world for his age. So despite the players leaving, they still have a player that is looking five to six years in the future, and thus he can act as a component that can be used to attract other quality players.
