Roma SHAMED Italian Football with Barcelona SMACKDOWN

Wow. Just wow. Not only did Roma lose, they lost badly, and they were thoroughly outplayed for the entire ninety minutes. It got so bad that after only two goals down, I stopped watching. I don't know about any of you, but I don't enjoy seeing a team totally dominate and humiliate another one. There just isn't any fun in that. Tactically, Roma were a shambles with Barcelona treating the match like a beach holiday session. It is criminal for a match to be so one-sided in Champions League football.

Looking at the league standings now, it pisses me off that Roma are most likely to go through. It's safe to
assume Barcelona will beat Leverkusen, even with resting players, and Roma should beat BATE Borisov at home. When you think of how close Leverkusen were to beating Barcelona, it's such a shame that they will end up losing out on a place in the next round, which they deserve. I just wish I could plead with UEFA to give Leverkusen the ticket to advance to the next round instead of Roma who are bringing the competition into disrepute. It should be a crime or there ought to be certain punishment for getting beat so badly.

I scratch my head, and think of what would have been going through Garcia's head. Because surely, this could have been prevented. He surely must have known this was the same Barcelona that defeated Real Madrid by four goals recently. Where the hell was the defensive setup? What was the plan to try and shut Barcelona down? The hell was the strategy going into this match to stop one of the best football teams in the world?

We all got our answers. There wasn't any plan. Roma were going in with their Plan A, which actually requires possession of the ball which Barcelona just don't readily give up. So without that, Roma looked lost and like a second-rate pub team that Barcelna were toying with. Horrible, terrible and disgraceful. For one of the top four teams in Italy to get so thoroughly outplayed should make Garcia, the players and the management at Roma hang their heads in shame. They are representing Italy along with Juventus, and whilst the dudes from Turin have acquitted themselves well, Roma have now gotten roundly embarrassed by Bayern and Barcelona in consecutive seasons.
