Champions League Last 16 Draw: Chelsea got SCREWED by getting PSG

Chelsea are screwed. I know, it's a bit premature to say that, but I deal with the reality of things and with the way Mourinho's Blues have been playing which has included a home loss to Bournemouth, they are screwed. Gent would really have been the most ideal team, and even they would have been a threat for Chelsea, But the Parisiens? With Veratti, Pastore, Lucas and Di Maria? Lawd...

As far as PSG are concerned, this is actually a pretty good draw for them. If this was a year ago, then it really wouldn't be desired, but they still managed to beat them with a man down. Fast-forward to 2015, and Chelsea are battling relegation, have been playing horrendously and don't look like the Chelsea we know. PSG have the same issues with Blanc not making the team play to their potential, but Chelsea are just so sub-standard now that PSG should routinely handle them in both legs.

It could have been a lot worse for PSG. They could have been going back to face Barcelona again or having to pit themselves against Bayern or even Atletico. Those would have been guaranteed losses for them.

The sad reality, is Chelsea and perhaps Zenit are the two teams that Juve and PSG would have most liked to face having finished second. Blanc may publicly talk about how Chelsea will still be a tough opponent, despite their league position. But secretly, without anyone looking, he'll be leaping up and down with glee at this. It's almost a certified route to the quarters.

It's not impossible for Chelsea to beat PSG. If Hazard remembers how to play, they start to defend like how they used to and they resemble the tough and disciplined Chelsea that we know, then yes, they can edge this tie. But I have to go by what I have seen this season so far. They have been losing games as easily as the sun rises, their key players have been playing so badly and there is low-morale in the team as they just aren't playing with the bravado of Premier League champions. Even in Europe, they had a really easy group and almost botched it up. They came top, but didn't do it as smoothly as most would expect.

I do hope that this isn't a total destruction. If Cavani and Ibra bring their A-game and actually hit the target, this match can be over in the first leg. There's a real chance that Chelsea may turn up and be in total disarray and Di Maria just runs the show, dribbling and crossing like crazy. Then we could witness a serious bloodbath, and the second leg may have to get called off. Nobody wants that, and we all hope that somehow Chelsea can find their identity and give PSG a game and make them work for this victory and make this close.

I just don't think it will be, but I hope that I am proven wrong by My Boy....
