A Super Game as Sassuolo Snatch that W at the End against Inter Milan

Who are those people that say the Serie A isn't entertaining? Show thyselves so I can publicly shame you.

This match between Inter Milan and Sassuolo, is the best match I have seen all season in any league. It was a game of chances, great skill, good football, superb defending, and an almost perfect display of high-class goalkeeping. This wasn't just one team bombarding another, and just closing down the counter attacks. Both teams tried to win the game in their own way, and it was the little club who managed to have an incredible victory in super-duper injury time.

Where they got five minutes of additional time is beyond me.

Despite the loss, I can't just come out and say Inter are out of the title race. They are still a very good team, and they should have won the game with the amount of chances they had, including one that was cleared off the line by the man with greatest hairstyle, Palacio.

Their defense is the best in the Serie A. Murillo and Miranda are excellent and make it virtually impossible to get past them. Sassuolo did not have that many clear chances. As well as they played, and moved the ball around, especially with Magnanelli and Duncan, rarely were they able to get past that Inter defensive line. So with that, Inter Milan can still be around that top spot, and won't just fade away. They just need to figure out how to score.

I respect what Ljajic was doing, and the amount of effort that he put into in the game. I love when players are brave enough to keep shooting, keep trying to win the game for their team rather than taking the coward's way out by always looking for the pass. So with that, thumbs up for him. But kid, it's about winning the game. If you have have had three or four good chances and not put it away, I think it's time to lay the ball off for someone else. Ljajic is not a known goalscorer, whereas Icardi is. It would have been wise for him to have given Icardi a few bites of that cherry.

But let's applaud Sassuolo. They defended well, played some really good football, and until the very end, they kept trying to find a sneaky way to score. Most teams of their stature would have played for a draw, bringing on another defender to see things out. But by the very fact they kept on countering when they found space, meant that karma rewarded them.

A penalty. A goal. Three points. A great win.

Inter aren't out of it, but as of this moment, Napoli are going to the top of the table, and I expect there to be more twists and shocks in this amazing Serie A title race. The lead at the top will keep on switching from now till May, with about four teams with a good chance of getting their hands on the coveted trophy.
