He's one the finest central midfielders in the world. The one to take over Pirlo when he officially retires, and perhaps the next big thing in Italian football. PSG has done him some good, but is not ideal for his development which is very important. The time has come for him to make another big decision.
Ancelotti will become the manager of Bayern. That has been signed, sealed and delivered. So he now, just like Guardiola, will be looking to lock down his kind of players well in advance before he takes charge. You look at Alonso, and Thiago; these are not classic central midfielders with the former not getting any younger. Ancelotti will need a young fresh of talented legs to accompany Vidal in the middle.
Verratti has to assess his situation before he gets that official call from Ancelotti, if he does. You're at PSG, one of the most expensively assembled teams in the world, and you're playing in a league that you walk every season. The gap between first and second perfecly illustrates how ludicrous the league is as a competition. That is why it's not doing Verratti any favours remaining at the club.
Marco is 23, which means he's still got some development and improvement in him. He won't get that in Ligue 1. You can only get better by being tested. Failing, having bad games, getting owned, and thus learning from those mistakes and being a better player. The competition in Bundesliga is not great, but compared to Ligue 1, it would be a far sterner test. And my inkling is Bayern will be less dominant in the league under Ancelotti than they are with Guardiola.
So I say he should push for that move. Work with a manager who he has experience with, is Italian as well and who will make him a better player. Blanc does not improve you. He simply sticks a lollipop in his mouth, as he watches his team beat the poor competition in the French league. Ancelotti will get the best out of Verratti and add new things to his game, improve his vision and get him playing in what we all hope to be a very exciting new-look Bayern team.
