Has Mourinho Proven His Worth after Halting Man City Charge?
Do y'all FINALLY believe in the truth? Because that is what my boy is...THE DAMN TRUTH. I keep telling you boys...been saying this since the Inter Milan Barcelona game when Inter won it all. DON'T YOU EVER BET AGAINST MOURINHO. He came and he conquered. Because that win right there was FULLY a TACTICAL win. Nothing more, nothing less.
Jose knew that he was facing the best attack in the league and THE best home record in Europe. So it was all about defence FIRST, but all those getting ready to mock him for settling for 0-0, did not get their wish.
Chelsea countered and countered well. And when they did not have the ball, they put forth one of the most amazing defensive displays I have seen in a while. Forget Dzeko, Negredo is a player that I have been championing and had been having some amazing games. But Mourinho does this for fun. He SHUT down the Spaniard just as he did with the flesh-eating Uruguayan. By stifling the City attack, and CONTROLLING the midfield, Mourinho was able to to focus on picking apart the weakness in the City team with the help of Willian and the hottest player right now....THE BIO HAZARD.
Ivanovic did score the goal...and it was a VERY good goal. But the man-of-the-match apart from the super Chelsea defence had to be Hazard.
Under Mourinho, this child has grown into an almost complete player who is SO FREAKIN' EFFECTIVE. His control with the ball, ability to get past tackles, cut inside, and find spaces in tight spots make him such an amazing player right now.
If Jose can keep him playing well, that DEFENCE, and the team functioning, then Chelsea may just make this HH happy, as my prediction would have been right of them taking home that bacon. Eyes are still focused on City and the boys who ARE at the top, Arsenal....but it ain't over till it's OVER...or unless someone decides to lose like ten games in a row or something.
