Milan Put Up Their Best Performance in YEARS, but Missed CHANCES COST THEM...DEARLY Against Atletico

Wow. I did NOT expect that performance from AC Milan. This was EASILY the best I have seen the ENTIRE team play in YEARS. From the back to the front, it was a MANLY show and harkened back to the good old days when Milan brought their best for the Champions League. But as it always goes, if you don't take your chances...YOU DESERVE TO GET PUNISHED.

It was just that lapse in concentration. A 0-0 would have been nice, but that little second they switched off, Diego Costa who impressed me, sprang up and poached the goal that puts Atletico in a great fucking position man. I mean, for Milan to go there and try and win that game, knowing they have to score against dudes that are top of their league, albeit a Mickey Mouse one, man, it's a tough ask.  But Milan really had their opportunities and so did Atletico and this game was just a very balanced game which I thought it wouldn't be. Milan came out to play and Simeone had to have thanked the INCREDIBLE agility and reflexes of Courtois to stop Poli from what would have been a certain goal.

The man Taarabt is really impressing, and on the big stage of the Champions League, he was confident enough to bring his skills and his movement and looked like one of the best players on the pitch. He has already settled in well and under Seedorf, I hope and expect him to grow and really develop his game. But back in this tie, IT IS NOT OVER. Atletico have the advantage and will be at home, but if Taarabt can again bring his A-game, alongside a tight defence and Kaka and Balotelli also play BIG, then there is a good chance...especially after what they showed tonight. But playing away in that stadium...won't be the easiest proposition.

Balotelli had a pretty good game as well as a VERY good chance again that he ONLY just missed. Hopefully his shoulder is not too injured because Milan CANNOT come through this tie without Super Mario. Say what you will about him, he is just too effective and I think he must be the most fouled person on the planet.
I would still put my money on Atletico to go through, but if Milan can bring out this performance AND FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS FAITHFUL, PLEASE START WITH FUCKING PAZZINI AND ACTUALLY PUT THE BALL IN THE NET....THEN THERE IS A CHANCE.
