No, Rooney does NOT Deserve the new Deal

HAHAHA! What the hell?!! THREE HUNDRED G'S A WEEK? Wooooow. Most people in this world would not see that figure in their bank account in over a decade. But somehow, some dude who has FLOPPED in almost every international tournament and has been in the shadow of BOTH Cristiano and now Van Persie suddenly deserves this? Is this supposed to make United fans leap up with joy?

I am done talking about footballers and how much they earn. It's stupid and it is ONE of the reasons why I am not that big of a fan of CLUB football. But if people will keep packing the stadiums and paying the merchandise that are OVER-PRICED, that is how these dudes will get paid. Now, the matter at hand is Mr. Wayne Rooney and what does this all mean. I'll tell you.....

Moyes is trying to show that United are still big and serious about their future and he's pinning down Rooney at the club to show that they are still UNITED. It's like in basketball when you keep hold of your star, which acts as a magnet for other up and coming stars to join a potential WINNING team. There is only one problem....which rising star will look at Rooney and actually WANT to join? It would make sense if it was Cristiano or Van Persie....but Rooney? What relevance does he have or has he ever had internationally? Don't get me wrong, the dude IS  a good player.....but he is NOT as good as RVP, who United should be more concerned about trying to keep.

Rooney is a VERY happy man, and now that he has his cheque, he will happily play along with the Moyes regime, and know that he is getting paid.
As for David Jeremiah Moyes, I just hope that he doesn't think that this move or "statement" will erase the fact that IF they dare lose to Olympiacos, then it might be goodnight to him. It does not erase the fact that fourth is slipping further and further away. Rooney, as good as he is playing in the creative hole, is not enough on his own to make United compete with the big dogs. Nope. United HAVE to replace Vidic and Ferdinand, they HAVE to totally restructure their midfield, and they HAVE to tie RVP to a post with three anvils. Those are the priorities right now....
