What the FUDGE Was That?!!!! Liverpool DECIMATE ARSENAL in a BLOODBATH
My goodness. Rather...MY CRAPNESS. What the FUCK was that?!!! I have insulted Arsenal before, and talked about their lack of heart and a spine...but this was just a whole other level. Losing to City 6-3 is one thing but to CONCEDE FOUR GOALS IN EIGHTEEN MINUTES IS JUST A WHOLE OTHER MATTER. So that is the question, what went wrong for Wenger's kids and what went right for the attacking demons of Rodgers and his men.
Normally you would be thinking that with this Arsenal defence...they would you know...be good at defending free-kicks. So...first I can let the Skrtel one go....but that SECOND HEADER??!!
Desire. That's the key word here. From the moment the referee blew that whistle, Liverpool were INTENT on beating Arsenal and refused to let up. Arsenal were shocked, and did not know how to react to a team that went at them HARD, FAST AND PRECISE.
Rodgers just refuses to let his team go away. When we think they are settling for fourth, they come in with a performance like this against the leaders, to show that they CAN compete with the best. We can talk a lot about how crap and terrible Arsenal were FOR THE ENTIRE GAME, but you have to commend Liverpool on bringing their very best game and showing COMPLETE disrespect to Arsenal.
But let's talk about Arsenal. Let us talk about a manager that REFUSES to adapt to a situation. Let us talk to a manager who BELIEVES his team are good enough to play THE SAME EXACT WAY AGAINST EVERY SINGLE TEAM.
What we are seeing is how Wenger is NOT a tactician. He is simply a really good coach with a nice philosophy of attacking football. THAT'S IT. As far as someone who can change up when their team don't play well, or can identify weak points in the opposing team, that is NOT what Wenger does.
The funny thing though, is that Arsenal may actually still go on and win the league. This is not knockout football. Arsenal have shown THEY CAN bounce back from heavy defeats, so there is no reason they can't go and win their next three games....BUT, Spurs away AND Chelsea away are coming up as well as that match against Liverpool in the FA Cup. Losing several matches in a row could spell the end of Arsenal's season, and I fear that this is a train wreck. BUT, this has been the most unpredictable Premiership season of all time...so ANYTHING AND ANYONE CAN STILL WIN THIS....even Liverpool
