EXCEPTIONAL Silva Man puts Hull City to the Sword in Manchester Win

Got to give it up. Hands together for Pellegrini. With ten men, City were deserved winners and were easily the better team. The man that was behind it all was David Silva, who put in THE performance of the match. Apart from the goal, his calm on the ball and intelligence in using it knowing his team's handicap, was PARAMOUNT in City winning. Oh...and that assist.

Hull City have to really look at themselves and wonder how they did not do MORE to win this. Yes, in the second half they came in better, with Jelavic MISSING A GREAT CHANCE, but with a MAN up, Hull needed to use the ball a lot better.

But really, Manchester City put forward a performance that will put fear into other teams. AWAY from home where they are weaker, to play in such a way shows that they are a team on a mission. And if Silva keeps playing this way and controlling the game like he did, then Manchester City CAN win those games in hand and take things into their own hands.

I feared for City WITH eleven men without Aguero, but that thing of playing better with ten men rang true today. City just used the ball intelligently, passed it at the right time, ran with it when needed to, and found men who made the RIGHT kind of runs. It's a great example of intelligent football. If City can play in such a way WITH eleven men, they are just far too good for most of the teams. But the funny thing, will they play so economically if they have their eleven men?

City came out winners and Hull City are a team that ought to be doing better with Long and Jelavic, and should have gotten at least a goal. If Pellegrini can get his KEY men playing at such a high level consistently and attack like they did today, then THESE are the dudes that can take the crown. But Mourinho ain't giving this up without a fight.....
