Mourinho Tactial Mastery Shuts out Drogba and Galatasaray in Chelsea Victory

This was always going to be the case. I never REALLY felt Galatasaray were going to win. Perhaps Drogba could have written another personal story, but he was fighting against a MUCH better coached team playing on their home patch. AND RING THE BELLS AND SHOUT IT FROM THE ROOFTOPS, A STRIKER SCORED!!! AND IT WAS BLO....nope, Blondie didn't score, but Eto'o did.

Any team in the world that want to learn how to set your team up to defend and SHUT OUT any holes that your opponent can exploit, please just watch a Mourinho team.

The LEVEL of organization of the Chelsea defence and midfield was masterful. Every player fought and worked like a damn dog to keep things tight and REFUSE any entry for Galatasaray to run into. The main threats of Drogba, Yilmaz...Sneijder? They were all shut down and kept quiet by a team that was super organized and were HELL BENT on not allowing the Turkish team to get a single goal. In the end, Galatasaray were barely a threat. Drogba did try his best to get into the game, but bad service from his teammates and a robust Chelsea team made it pretty much impossible for Drogba to try and get any juice in this game.

Before talking about Chelsea going forward, it's really quite sad how far Sneijder has fallen. Stuck in the left wing, losing passes and having ZERO effect on the game, this is such depreciation from the man who was one of the stars of the World Cup four years ago. Van Gaal REALLY can't put him in the first team in this state.

Chelsea march on, and yes we have Bayern, Madrid, PSG possibly Dortmund, but Chelsea can also be a threat. They are the only English team left in there and if they are this discplined, and use the effective work of the three musketeers of Willian, Hazard and Oscar and ETO'O CAN CONTINUE TO SCORE AND BE A THREAT, then Chelsea are very, very dark horses and could squeeze their way into a semi or even a final. It's all about what the draw on Friday brings.
