Congratulations. Not in advance, but just plain congrats to Conte and his team winning YET another league title. What do you want me to do? Herald Conte as a legendary coach? Has anyone SEEN how far the standards have dropped in the Serie A? Heard of that team called AC Milan? Conte can't be hiding and be cowardly....they went out of the Champions League, they MUST win the Europa League.
With the scandals, the bankruptcy and just lack of big star talent in the league, Juventus are in a STRONG advantage over all the other teams. So Conte can't really come out and say that the main priority and the focus is on the league.
Let's be real now, Juventus SHOULD be favorites any time they enter the Champions League. Their talent can match ANY of the best teams that Europe has. When we now talk of the Europa League, Juventus have NO excuse but to WIN the competition. It will be a lot harder to do, with them having to play teams like Porto, Benfica and others who are bringing in a different style to Italian football, thus forcing Conte to think more tactically. THAT is why the Europa League should ALSO be a priority. I want to hear Conte say that they want to win BOTH. If they were in the Champions League, then that should be the priority, but now they are in the UEFA Cup(tired of all the name-changing) this should JUST BE AS IMPORTANT as winning the league.
I will not accept anything but a victory for Juventus in the UEFA Cup.
