Madrid Are Pretty Much Back in the Semis, And Dortmund MUST Rebuild
The tie is over. 3-0. No way back for Dortmund, even on their own patch. It would be a MIRACLE if Dortmund turned it around. But to be realistic, Klopp must rebuild and his team just don't have the pieces to compete against a FULLY FUNCTIONING Madrid team. So the question is whether or not, Madrid can at least make it past the semi and into the FINAL.
Carlo, the nice guy (not wise guy, ha!), really has the chance to improve upon where Mourinho failed TWICE. Madrid have not been to a final in a long time, and the two previous finals they have been in, they have won them. Ancelotti has belief in his players to WIN a one-off winner-takes-all game, but it's a matter of actually getting there. To do that, of course, great tactics will be needed with the right changes being made and SERGIO RAMOS NOT COMING ANYWHERE NEAR THE CENTRAL DEFENSIVE POSITION.
But I think the key player is Bale. He is the big money-man, and is the NEW STAR. Cristiano had his chance TWICE and FLOPPED, so it's time to see what Bale can do on the biggest stage that he will ever get the chance of playing on. This is where he can show that it is HE and not Cristiano, that is worth all the hype.
It's just a shame for Dortmund but I did not find this surprising. The team have been struggling for the whole season and Klopp, I am sure, just wants this nightmare season to end so that he can regather his boys AND also add to his team. They are still an INCREDIBLY coached team, but they are just suffering from a loss of confidence as well as the VERY key players that made them such a powerful force last season.
Their time will come again, I have faith.
Bale....YOUR TIME IS NOW, SON.
