Pastore and Lavezzi Give Chelsea an Argentine Makeover....PARIS-STYLE!!!
Sorry, but the moment that is STILL sticking out for me, is that amazing Pastore goal. I am convinced it hit the side-netting...but for some reason, he celebrated. So I guess it was a goal, and not only was it a DAMN amazing effort, that only and Argentine could do, but that could be the goal that seals the deal for this tie.
Blanc is a shit coach and I will not move away from that. But, PSG were looking OKAY tactically but what won them this game was what I think would make them a threat to win it all. Not strategy, or tactics, but THE AMOUNT OF INDIVIDUAL TALENT they have. Pretty much in every position is a killer, and Chelsea had to be looking in all directions as the threats were all over them.
Pastore may have scored one of the best goals this year in the Champions League, but Lavezzi along with Silva were the best players on the pitch. Silva showed why he is a damn SOLID PIECE OF STEEL, and Lavezzi was everywhere, creating chances and made things difficult for Terry and Cahill. If this dude can play like this for Argentina, then even with no defense or a midfield, they can make something happen.
A 2-1 defeat would have been ideal for Chelsea. Mourinho was going to be happy with that, and with a second leg at the Bridge, you could say Chelsea could hold down a 1-0 and keep the fort strong. But that Pastore goal complicates things, and I am not too sure that I can put Mourinho on beating this PSG team by TWO CLEAR GOALS.
Eto'o or Blondie will have to do something, but if it was me, he may not have scored but Schurrle just seems like the best fit all-round to play in that position, and I am sure he will either find a goal or be involved in one if he plays.
Ibrahimovic FLOPPED. Sorry, but I just have to call it as I see it. A big match, AT HOME, and I could not find him. He did nothing. He failed. And for all the insults they have been hurling at the vampire known as Cavani, he actually seemed more threatening and came close to scoring, which was a lot more than Ibrahimovic was able to do. Not good.
I love my boy Mourinho, but I have to pick PSG to make it through this tie. That team, ESPECIALLY without the burden of Ibrahimovic, will be freer in the second leg. This team can score more than one goal at the Bridge, and the question is HOW MANY can Chelsea score back?
