IBRAHIMOVIC SAYS HE DOES NOT NEED CHAMPIONS LEAGUE TO HAVE A MEMORABLE CAREER
The BEAST from Sweden has come out and said that he does not really need the Champions League to still have a stellar career. He points out his 22 medals as having being evidence of the type of career he would have had having hanging up his boots. But....sorry, CERTAIN medals are needed if you are to be put in that special echelon of player.
To be heralded as a great and in that special club...it's not about the amount of titles that you amass. Because if it was down to that, Ibra is one of the TOP greats. 22 medals, top scorer in several leagues, a league winner in about four countries...all those are very nice stats...but TWO stats matter to me with one in particular.
Ibrahimovic won't win a World Cup. The Swedish team are not good enough and by the time they get better, Ibra would have been retired. So as I have stated before, I can give him a bye for that. However, THERE IS NO EXCUSE for him NOT to win the Champions League. He is playing in a team that have some of the BEST individual players in the world. The talent is there for PSG to beat ANYBODY they face because there is no team in the world that have BETTER players as a whole than them. So Ibra, my dear friend, don't judo-chop me but you BLOODY well need to get your big hands on a Champions League medal or else...I can't even talk of your career being a great one.
