FIFA in their current form are screwed. Not sure if other more extravagant language can be used, but they would be appropriate. It seems all that dodgy dealing FIFA has done has caught up with them. As House of Pain's sophomore album read:
"The Truth Crushed to Earth Shall Rise Again"
It's reared its very ugly head, and all the things that were whispered and talked about around the campfires seem to be true. I mean, when people are handing themselves in that's where theories or accusations get thrown out the window and you just have to face the reality of the matter that people know when they've been caught and it is futile to resist.
In regards to Sepp, I don't think there has been anything against him. As far as I know of writing this at the current time, he's as innocent as a newborn baby (well, unless you believe in previous lives where the baby could have eaten people). So I really can't understand how you can hate him on that level if there is no proof he has done any wrongdoing. But the issue with Sepp which he needs to realise is not about his own innocence, but of those around him who he breaks bread with. If your wife is a cocaine dealer, I'm going to eye you up and wonder how she was able to do such when you spend so much time with her. Keeping in mind most drug deals are done at night.
The question I would ask Sepp is how all this ugly stuff happened under his watch and how he knew nothing of it. Because the image looks very bad. Sepp, you are the head of an organization where several members have been involved with bribes. So even though you may be innocent, it shows very bad leadership that such acts were allowed to happen under your watch. That is why for Blatter my beef is mainly for him to keep himself as leader with all that has happened.
If we have scenario where Blatter is president again, and even if he condemns all those that have been charged by the FBI, the public and football world will still see the same stink. Blatter will not be able to detach himself from the negativity if he carries on as president...which in case you were not aware....would be his fifth term. Saddam ain't got nothing on General Blatter IV
Let's be real. As long as there is a single breath in Blatter's body, he will do all he can to remain president of FIFA. That is why I feel more sympathy for him than anything else. He's an old man with nothing else to do. Don't take his only worthwhile hobby away. Unless you're an ageist prick, you must feel sorry for poor Blatter. Only problem is football is much older and much more valuable (that sounds wrong somehow) than Sepp. So he really should just step down and take up croquet. It is a very soothing and relaxing pastime....
