But where Tottenham are concerned and if they want to move forward and progress, holding onto their star player is needed. Without Kane, they have nothing to build around, and seeing them as a top four team will no longer be a realistic prospect. In order to compete and reach greater heights, they NEED to hold onto their assets. Even with Kane, with their current setup, they ain't winning jack. Pocchettino and that crackpot Levy have to put their cash where their mouth is and invest in a team that have the talent to at least challenge for the title. Ryan Mason just doesn't cut it for me....sorry.
Looking at United, what they are missing is a striker. Van Persie is pretty much garbage and past it, calling Falcao a joke would be too kind. Then we have Rooney who used to be a striker, but is now an attacking midfielder, which means there is a vacant job position. The ONLY requirement is to score g's, which is what was done expertly by Kane this season. Throw in the fact that Van Gaal is a wizard when it comes to developing and coaching players to improve them, moving to United is an offer Harry should seriously consider.
This is similar to the Bale situation, but not on the same level since Gareth did waaaaaaaaaaay more for Spurs than Kane did. But again, if Levy does not give Pocchettino the cash to get players to surround Kane and make a more quality squad, then when next will Kane get a chance to move to club that can realistically give him medals? Levy has to realise that this is modern football and it is rare for players to dedicate their entire career to one club. If you don't make the right moves, then they will bounce and it would be back again to the drawing board.
