Rafa is officially the Next in line for Perez to Sack. Or will he bring Liga Glory to Madrid?

How long will he last?

That's the first question. And its not being rude or trying to humor y'all. Perez's track record is incredible with those that he has sacked. So its only fair that I ask how long our dear friend Rafa will last. Because as we all know, if he doesn't win a trophy.....he's outta there!

I can see the logic in the madness of hiring Rafa to replace Ancelotti. I love Carlo and he is one of the best coaches out there. But everyone has their weakness and no man is perfect. Ancelotti has never been a manager that knows how to navigate a season. He has never been big on tactics or making bold changes withing games. He has his eleven, his philosophy and will only tweak based on that ideology. So with no room to chop ans change, these are not ideal ideals (ha) for coming through a thirty eight game season.

Benitez has had an up and down career up till now. Made his name on the street at Valencia, and is the only manager to bring true success to Liverpool in recent times. Then there was the diversion at Inter that has been his only blip and Napoli has been a half and half experience. So as a whole, not really a manager you should be leaping up with joy at, but when you see who he has at his disposal as well as a culture and league that is in his blood, for Madrid fans there is maybe some very small cause to be happy.

The main objective is the Liga. That tenth Champions League title is claimed, so all that matters now is trying to be kings of Spain again. It won't be an easy job in the least for Benitez who is going up against the most lethal attack in the world, but perhaps the only way to take the crown off of Barcelona is to do the direct opposite of them. That's what Mourinho did, when they won it by a record number of points by using the tried and trusted defensive and counter plan. Benitez is not as defensive, but his teams are more well balanced than Ancelotti's.

I don't think he will be sucessful. There, I've said it. Just my call and belief. Benitez can prove us all wrong because I'm not liking this notion that he's crap because he failed at an Inter team missing their star player...Mourinho. He was a very good manager who knows what he doing and is tactical. What people are missing is that he has been successful before in Spain....and errr....he is Spanish.

But don't be surprised if he does not see out his contract and you see Donald Duck in the dugout because Perez will be running out of those who even want the damn job.
