Critical season for Bale and Madrid in HUNT for Liga Title

Madrid have looked good in pre-season (for whatever that's worth) they have a very good manager in, and the mission and directive is pretty damn clear -

WIN THE LA LIGA TITLE

Yeah, I get Cristina's g's and Modric keeping the midfield intact and of course, Ramos not have one of his psychological lapses or mental screw-ups. BUT, my dear friends, there is only one beast in Madrid. Only one man who can literally inspire, drive and carry this team forward. That is the Welsh dude with the really crappy haircut. If Madrid can wake this beast from his year's sleep, then there is a great chance Madrid can win a league they almost won last year.

I am very convinced that the issue with Bale is that dumb hairstyle of his. Say what you want about me being silly picking that out, but it's true. A hairstyle says a lot about a person and their mentality. You need to only look at Fellaini and David Luiz as examples of quite vibrant personalities with vibrant haircuts. Bale getting that welsh-samurai concoction is him trying to be fashionable and "cool", when in fact he should focus only on the football.

Bale is the most dynamic and all-round effective footballer in Madrid. He can cover boths wings, play in the middle, and finish both in and outside of the box as well as creating his own goals...something Cristina can't do. For a dude that has all those assets, it would be criminal not to make good use of him and I believe that is what precisely Benitez wants to do.

Bale has to be given a free role AND ditch that dumb thing on his head, and focus on being the killer app that we know he can be, which is what he showed for Spurs and Wales. If Benitez can bring out that thugged out no-holds barred attitude for Madrid, especially that crazy one-man G that he scored in that Copa Del Rey final, then that could be the very thing that can make Madrid champions.

It's time Madrid have a new, younger superstar. Raul had his time, Cristina has had his time and now it's the Welsh Dragon's turn to take Madrid into a new era by building the team around him and seeing how far that can take Madrid this season. Because, relying on Cristina solely who doesn't like scoring winners against big teams will just end up as same old story of Barcelona or another team winning the Liga.
