Errrrrrr.....I thought Barcelona were banned from any transfers? Well, that is what was advertised to all of us. Hence why it was the discussion of how they would cope not being able to buy any players this summer. But I guess that was wrong.
The whole point in watching a league is to see competition. It's what make the Premiership exciting and what made the Bundesliga so much fun all those years ago. But in the recent years, the two of Barcelona and Real Madrid have been widening the gap between themselves and the rest of the stragglers. And it just keeps on getting wider and wider and with Turan now joining Barcelona, there's really no point in the other eighteen teams bothering to turn up for the match.
It's bad enough Barcelona have added another very good player to their team, but to weaken their rivals just sickens me. This is all that is wrong with club football. Oh, that team beat us to the title, let's just buy their best player to weaken them and make sure that doesn't happen again.
Total and utter bullshit.
You then have to wonder about the clowns that run the FFP, or UEFA. Is it okay and cool that two teams can grab all the best players rather than spreading the wealth around? Like, who is going to sit down with a beer and pizza to watch Barcelona with Messi, Turan, Cannibal and Neymar against the might of Elche? Who in their right mind would waste their time to watch such nonsense? This is killing competition and you have to even wonder if there's any point in Granada or Elche and even a weakened Atletico showing up to play?
We will see how Turan fits. He is growing old and is not the long-term fix to replace Xavi and Iniesta. But for next season, the attack as well as the creativity of Barcelona is going to go up six level. You just have to pray Real Madrid have a response to this signing with their own quality player because they can't assume Cristiano is going to have another ridiculous season for them and supply all those G's.
The death of competition in Liga Minor.
