Wow, so somehow PSG could not hold onto Ancelotti for more than a season. I mean, what kind of Manager do you let go off after just winning the league, something that has not been done at the club for a rather LOOOOONG time. Well, he is off to Madrid now and PSG did not get Rijkaard....or Hiddink...or Capello.....they got...wait for it...oi, I said WAIT FOR IT......they got.....Laurent Blanc.
Isn't this the same Blanc that put up that embarrassing display at the Euros? The same Blanc who had Benzema wandering anywhere BUT the 18 yard box? Yeah, it's that same man. Somehow, the powers-that-be at PSG now feel that he is right to give him the keys to try and unlock the chemistry of this team of individuals? Hmmmmm
Managing a team is hard. Managing a team of big egos who are overpaid is even harder. Those like Capello and Mourinho can handle it based on their no-nonsense approach. Then you have the Ancelotti's who is like a father figure and can really relate to the players and create a communal feel. Blanc does NOT have either of these qualities. I fear that with the rise of Monaco, and with the Lyon, Marseille and Bordeauz still a threat....if PSG get into a bad run, does Blanc have the man-management skills to turn the boat around?
I am really not a fan of mega teams and this is a trend that was started by my main man Abramovich. It's also why gave up supporting Chelsea and I merely follow my local team, Arsenal. But it is what it is, and you need to find the right individual to manage all these individuals. Blanc is NOT the dude.
