Gervinho with a Roma team that are unbeaten and playing the best football in Serie A, looks like a man reborn. He seems to fit in well within the team and his confidence in front of goal has returned. Maybe he had other issues that prevented him from doing this more often at Arsenal? BUT, this is only the early part of the season and Roma won't play like this throughout. Still, one has to admire how Gervinho has managed to put the Arsenal rejection behind him and take the bull by the horns in Rome.
It's hard to say how Gervinho will play at the end of this season. He has started well, but he also had some great games for Arsenal. I think, if Totti and De Rossi keep the ship tight and they somehow continue playing their hard direct attacking game, then perhaps Gervinho will flourish in this. Arsenal were always seen as the TOO MANY DAMN PASSES team, and perhaps Gervinho will flourish under a Roma team that is far more SHOOT FIRST. We wait and we see. I am 50/50 on Gervinho, as he can be very hot and VERY cold. So, don't jump that gun yet, and let's see how well he does later on in the season.
For now, Roma are yet to be beaten, Gervinho scored two VERY good goals in the last match, and he is already winning the hearts of the passionate Rome crowd.
