Is Bale worth that price tag? Who Cares?!!!
There seem to be a lot of people that have taken issue with the amount of money paid for Bale. They say it's too much, it's incomprehensible, it's shocking, it's this...it's that. Fact is, the cash was paid and he is now at Madrid. In life, if you want something bad enough, you have to do all that it takes to get it. I feel, the price is just a price....it's just a price. All that matters is, what can Bale bring to the team.
Selling Ozil is madness, let me just put that out there first. To sell your MAIN creative force, is just ludicrous. But perhaps where Modric was a bench-man for Mourinho, Ancelotti sees him as HIS OWN creative player. Now, with Bale coming in...Madrid have two of the fastest, most direct and dangerous wing-men in the world. The similarities are striking, even though Cristiano is the better player. Both are wingers, who ghost as strikers and BOTH can SHOOT FROM ANYWHERE.
But back to the cash. I think people need to learn a bit about merchandizing. If Bale flops, then it's money down the drain. Fortune favors the bold as the saying goes, and sometimes you need to take three steps back to move five steps forward. Now, if Bale is a success and a hit, the shirts will fly off the shelves and that cost will slowly start to be replenished.
I have given up on modern football and the money players are being PAID EACH WEEK is just madness. So I just choose to ignore it and I look at football as a whole. I'm focusing on the football aspect and don't give a damn about the fee. Bale is at Madrid and I think it's a good signing for them but would have worked EVEN better with Ozil in the team.
For Bale? He just needs to do his thing. Forget all the noise and all the hype. I love the way he plays and the confidence that he has. Once he starts to THINK, then he will fail. If he just flows and applies that no-fear attitude that he has, then I think we may see Madrid actually become a legitimate threat.
We wait and see....ANYTHING in football can happen...
