Can anybody tell me how many SUCCESSFUL dribbles Cristiano made in this match? Can anyone tell me what else he did apart from shoot it straight at Valdes and pass a ball across for an assist? Oh...I will wait all year if I have to. But for those that can't, our dear friend FLOP, did not do anything. He ran about like a headless hyena, doing stepovers and just prancing about in the wing. And yes, he is still the second best in the world. Yes.
This was a big game. Cristiano did not have the genius of Ozil to supply him the passes. REAL players, get it done WITH or WITHOUT help. I hope you have all seen that goal from Ibrahimovic. THAT REQUIRED ZERO HELP AND WAS ALL HIS DOING. In the whole of 90 minutes, all Flop could give me is a shot on goal.....and an assist. Wow. Wow.
Because I tell you this, it's getting really annoying when Flop apologists try and justify this guy's "excellence." He is without a doubt THE most overrated football player in the world. Listen very carefully kids, and get the wax out of your ears. He is one of the best GOALSCORERS the game has seen. But as a PLAYER, with regards to what he does IN A MATCH. Ibrahimovic, Robben, Ribery, Messi, Iniesta...even MULLER do much more for the team than he does. So unless this guy starts dribbling, starts causing more CONSTANT trouble for the defence and PROVES to me that he is one of the best...all he will ever be is just a great goalscorer. Nothing more, nothing less. And being a great goalscorer does not grant you entrance into the executive club. Last I checked, Zidane was not the greatest goalscorer...but we can all accept he is one of the greatest football players of all time.
To all you Flop apologists and those that worship this man...SORRY, he's not that good. I am sure those at FIFA and UEFA would be so pissed off that he is so far behind Messi and Ribery. Because Flop is more marketable as a product. He has the right look and style to go on all the covers. Only SLIGHT problem, he just is not as gifted at the sport of football as Messi, Ribery, Iniesta, Ibra, and so many others I can name....so many.
