Above, my friends, we have two CLOWNS. Two CLOWNS who are the heads of two CLOWNISH organizations. With Blatter's comments on Messi and Cristiano about the Ballon D'Or, you can look part his humorous interpretation of Cristiano. What scares me is just how little understanding of the sport of football he has. Terrible. Shocking.
The other clown is Platini who again showed how little he cares for racism. The pathetic punishment he accepted to give CSKA Moscow showed again how UEFA are still living in the dark ages with regard to the standards one must have in MODERN SPORT FOR THE POST MILLENIUM. Laughable.
I just really can't understand why these organizations cannot be revamped. I respect Blatter fighting to get the World Cup in Africa...but to be the head of the WORLD'S FOOTBALL GOVERNING BODY, and not understand football is just a bit...strange? Or maybe I am just mad and people don't see how that just does not make sense.
I've just never really ever taken to Platini. He seems to rub the wrong way and to some people's shock, I feel Blatter is actually a lesser evil. So if Platini is made FIFA president, do I really feel he will fight to give Africa or even Asia another World Cup? I am even hearing of him talking about a World Cup taking place amongst multiple countries. WHAT ON EARTH HAS THE WORLD COME TO?!!!
Please, excuse the capitals...they are just my passionate way of getting my point across. But for a sport that is now very ethnically diverse....the powers-that-be reek of that elite Caucasian air that does not sit well with me. Surely, with matter pertaining to racism...there ought to be a board with more African delegates who can also voice their opinions as to what the punishments should be. With regard to FIFA, surely there ought to be more ex-footballers of VARYING backgrounds who can actually help the organization make the RIGHT decisions in the name of football.
But then I remember....this isn't about the sport anymore. The World Cup may be the most watched sporting event in the world. Football is now a global game that keeps on growing. Those that follow it, follow it passionately as well financially...VERY $$$financially£££. So this means those like Blatter and Platini will do ALL IN THEIR POWER to hold onto their position as it means a whole lot more than just looking after the credibility of the great sport of football.
As for me, I want my sport back. I want players to be able to take off their shirts after scoring that winning goal without being booked. I want fans and clubs to be punished SEVERELY for any racial actions. I want the Ballon D'Or to be voted for by the FANS that watch the sport and PAY for it.....not the damn journalists and some dudes in suits. I WANT THE SPORT OF FOOTBALL TO BE SERVED AND PRESERVED AND MONEY TO BE TAKEN OUT OF THE FREAKIN', DAMN EQUATION!!!
