It was a very tough pill to swallow. Seeing one of your OWN, score such a good goal against you, and seeing a match you dominated slip away with TWO counter-attacking goals would be hard to take. It's screwed up and football can be unfair. But Klopp needs to man up and SAVE Dortmund's season. Somehow, with some pixie dust and magic, he has to get them mentally prepared for the crucial Napoli game.
Dortmund did not deserve to lose this game, but they also did not deserve to lose and draw the games in the league they have done. Same goes for the Arsenal loss at home and the Napoli loss in their first game. But, Klopp needs to tell these boys to MAN THE F UP. No point feeling sorry for themselves, a season needs to be saved.
The Bundesliga is OVER, it's gone. This Bayern team who have somehow gotten stronger will NOT let a seven point gap slip. So the focus is now on Dortmund to take that final step and WIN the Champions League. It all starts with getting the better of Napoli in their own home ground. Sure, they should still try and be competitive in the league, but their guts and intestines must be spilled on the ground in order to WIN this Champions League. All they need to do is get it done, and GET IT DONE without many of their crucial players missing. These players have an ability to show that they have a stake in the first team by proving their worth to Klopp with the starters on the that injury table.
Mkhitaryan has to realize that he can't just be content being a decent player. That's what he is, a real good player. But with Dortmund going through a hard spot, he is VERY important to them getting through this. He was brought in to replace Gotze and assist Reus and Lewandowski in breaking down teams. The boy has to just be better and play with more confidence going forward. Less passes, and more running with the ball and shots at goal.
I feel he can be a lot better than he is and has the potential to be an improvement on Gotze. I see it in his game, but what he lacks is that confidence in his ability to be a far more direct and attacking player. Against Napoli, Klopp will need him to bring out that beast in him and....TAKE HIS DAMN CHANCES. In TWO games now, he has had two VERY GOOD chances that he has not put away. Against Napoli, that CANNOT happen.
It's during times like these that captains are most needed. Weidenfeller has to gather the group together and realize they can get this done. After all, they are the Champions League finalists and the ONLY team to truly hurt the mighty Bayern. So he needs to get them all thinking positively but also to take responsibility for their destiny and go out and have fun, whilst also getting it done by being more clinical in front of goal. There needs to be a bit of anger and shouting now and players growing some balls and looking to WIN games, rather than being happy playing well but being "unlucky".
