Finally...we Shall See the GROUPS for the 2014 WORLD CUP Draw!!!
The day has come. I have waited for this for SO LONG. All these debates, and circulations of simulated draws have been ignored by your boy. I want the REAL, I need the REAL and to know precisely and exactly who shall be in whose groups. Thanks to those clowns up in FIFA, there is going to have to be one VERY tough group indeed.
Belgium have been the topic of the month as of late. The team that everyone thinks will surprise everyone. They find themselves in Pot 1, but they may not come out and say it, but they will want to AVOID Italy and Holland who shall be lurking around in Pot 4.
I just don't think they will have the kind of World Cup everyone thinks they will have. You have to look at the conditions and how young their key players are which means when they faced an experienced team with some veterans, they will get edged out once the game gets tight and close.
Because of the dumb seedings, King Keshi will be looking at both Italy and Holland and hoping he avoids either one of them. On the flip side, I think Keshi would be relatively confident facing Switzerland and even Belgium in the groups. I just have this very sinking feeling that Nigeria will get a pretty tough group with either Spain or Uruguay finding themselves in there.
Whatever the case, Keshi has to be brave and just accept whoever gets read out in the group and prepare the boys to do battle with whatever enemy lays before him.
As the hosts, coming second or the horror of not even getting out of the group is not worth thinking about. Brazil should at the very LEAST reach the quarters, but what happens if they face Italy or they face a Dutch team who DECIDE to show up?
That would make things very tricky for the Brazilians. I have faith in Scolari, but I may be in the minority in saying for CERTAIN that Brazil will not win the cup. I have seen into the future and I believe it may be team for another team to step up....
Their defence may be crap and I'm not sure whether they even have any midfielders. But, they have the best player in the world and they have THE most lethal strikeforce. Sabella better beg Tevez to get back in the team because he will be very valuable in their efforts.
This cup is in South America, on the home of their rivals and Messi must know, I hope, this is the final piece in what will propel him to one of the greatest in the history of the sport. I am not saying they will win it because I don't trust the backline and I question Messi's hunger and character, but it just seems that it just might be their time to shine on their own continent.
