Is Moyes Under Pressure as United take on Newcastle United?

United's title hopes are done. There is pretty much no chance of them clawing back the gap at the top. Arsenal, Chelsea and City will drop points...but so will this United team. It's been a very long time since Manchester United have been NINTH during the month of December. The loss against Everton which was another defeat at home spelt the END of their season. There are questions of Moyes not lasting till the new year, but is his job really on the line or are we just seeing an end of an era of dominance?

Ryan Giggs will go down as a legend in the Premiership. He really will be remembered as one of the great players. However, you know things are wrong when you have a forty year old man STARTING the game for you. There is something not quite right about that.
That is just the problem with United. Along with Rio, Vidic and Evra...they have players that are too old. Ferguson was able to paper over these cracks with his incredible man motivational skills, but Moyes is just a good coach and does not have that extra juice Fergson had to extract milk from a stone. So what we are seeing is a team in need of quite a few new players and a serious change in their squad. Once teams are coming to your compound and really doing battle with you without fear, then you must know that is a real serious problem.

Newcastle have been doing well and with Cabaye and Ameobi, they have some seriously dangerous players. I won't be surprised if Newcastle won that game because morale at United is low, and there is no Ferguson to rile them up and make them respond. This is not the United of old, because under Ferguson there is NO WAY United would be this far behind by December. It just would not happen. Moyes is a good coach and United have shown some excitement going forward with Kagawa on the pitch, that looks more dynamic than Ferguson's system. What Moyes needs is one summer to really get the players he wants, THEN judge him. But what if, United don't finish in the top four? Will the fans really be happy and have faith in Moyes to rebuild them to be competitive again?
