Erm, surely if you move to a club for 30 Million clams....you are SUPPOSED to play every damn week? For some reason, that has not been the case and Erik must put the blame on Villas Boas whose tactics don't really make a lot of players look good. Then there is the subtext of whether AVB wanted Lamela or it was a Levy decision. Fact is, Lamela may want to move as he wants to get into that Argentina squad.
Sabella is already looking to finalize the names in his World Cup squad which for HIS SAKE, BETTER INCLUDE THE PITBULL KNOWN AS TEVEZ. The coming months are going to be extremely important as Lamela looks to make that cut. He may only be twenty one but there is NO Argentine that would want to miss taking part in a World Cup IN South America, and also knowing that Argentina have a very good chance to win it with Messi.
The talk is of Inter Milan and Atletico Madrid, with Juventus also hovering. All three of those teams are good and I think a Juve move would definitely suit Mr. Lamela. However, Erik should really think long and hard before making a decision.
AVB is out, the man is gone and will never ever return to Spurs. Sherwood is now in charge and with the little time Lamela had on the pitch against West Brom, he looked pretty good and effective. So my advice would be for Lamela to give it time and just see what happens under Sherwood. In a more attacking and direct system of play that has TWO strikers, Lamela may flourish and prove he is better than Townsend and Lennon.
